As a brand, why do we do the things we do? Well, let us explain.............
An old college psychology professor used to start each one of our classes by asking the group, "why do we do the things we do?" Every class member would have a different response, and we quickly learned the importance of respecting each individuals thoughts and processes. At Bunyan Bags we have a simple answer to the question of, why do we do the things we do? We are outdoorsmen and women. We hunt, we fish, we camp, and we enjoy the challenge of the outdoors. Our founder is 6' 2" tall and spent years using sleeping bags that weren't long enough. Even with listed lengths of 86" to 90", these bags would only have a usable length of 66" to 72" because hood lengths of up to 20" were being used in the measurements. There was also a drastic lack of US sleeping bag manufacturing and he wanted to tackle both issues at the same time. Bunyan Bags produces sleeping bags in Cedar City, Utah, and our bags are guaranteed to fit sleepers up to 7' tall.
We do what we do for you, the outdoorsman who expects more from their investment into gear. We do what we do for the hunting industry, which has been held hostage by traditional outdoor brands that don't agree with the decisions of millions of Americans who like to hunt. We do what we do for local families as we employ people to assemble our bags. And finally, we do what we do because we love to do it.
